classroom presentations - 2016
Classroom presentations will be made by the Counselors to all Freshman and Seniors, covering a range of topics from strategies for high school success to college and career opportunities after high school. Copies of those presentations are below. Numerous hyperlinks are contained in the presentations to give you and your student(s) direct access to a wealth of helpful websites.
The PSAT is the practice exam for the SAT. Any 10th or 11th grader who is considering college after high school graduation will benefit from the PSAT.
Tokay High will offer the PSAT on Wednesday, October 19th in the THS Gym. The test starts at 7:20 a.m. and ends around lunchtime.
Students may sign up in Student Services. The cost is $15, cash or check payable to Tokay High School.
After School Program
Tokay High School's After School Program is underway. This is a FREE after school program that offers homework help/tutoring enrichment activities, interest clubs, and community service opportunities to the students of Tokay High. It is available Monday – Thursday, between 2:30-4:30 p.m. Applications can be found in Student Services, Counseling Office, or from your student's English teacher. A FREE healthy snack will also be available to participants of ASP.
Tokay's High School's parent newsletter is published at the end of each quarter. This newsletter informs parents and students about school news, events, activities and resources available for students. If you would like to receive this newsletter by email, once per quarter, please respond by email to Rhonda Poutre with your name, student's name and email address. Hard copies will be available in the Counseling Office.
